Mischa Barton (Mischa Anne Barton) is a London born American actress. Her family moved to New York USA, when she was four. Barton is best known as Marissa Cooper of FOX Show "The O.C." and a girl poisoned by her mother in "The Sixth Sense".

Barton's acting career began with a Kushner's high-profile play "Slavs!" at the age of nine. Since then Barton did many plays, television series and movies.

Before entering into films, Barton appeared on ABC show "All My Children". Barton debut film was "Lawn Dogs" in 1997. Barton's television projects include New York Crossing (1996), All My Children (1996), Frankie & Hazel (2000), A Ring of Endless Light (2002), Once and Again (2002-2003), and The O.C. (2003-2006).

Barton's well known movies include Pups (1999), Notting Hill (1999), The Sixth Sense (1999), Skipped Parts (2000), Paranoid (2000), Tart (2001), Julie Johnson (2001), and Lost and Delirious (2001), Octane (2003).
